First, is your toilet blocked? 

Most toilet blockages are easy to clear and are simply caused by something stuck in the system. You can unclog by flushing your toilet and using a plunger to push the blockage out. Avoid multiple flushes, which could cause water to overflow and flood your bathroom.

Nothing happens when I flush.

Is there an issue with the handle? Lift the cover on the back of the toilet and check to make sure the flapper is correctly attached. If the chain has come loose, reattach it. 

Are outlets malfunctioning?

Make sure the outlet is the problem and not your appliance. Try another outlet and plug in something else to pinpoint the issue. If the outlet is dead, you may need to reset the GCFI. 

My property has no power. 

If your whole property has lost power, first make sure you're the only one impacted in your neighborhood. If you're the only unit without power, try to reset your breaker, in case it was accidentally tripped. If this doesn't work, you'll want to call your utilities provider for help.

If your home's water won't beat, there may be an issue with the tank's temperature controls. Check your thermostat and verify that the tank has not been switched off. Reset your tank and allow the system to begin working—15 minutes is normally sufficient for the water to begin warming up.

The first thing to check is your thermostat—make sure the settings haven't accidentally been changed. Is the system alive? Reset your thermostat and call your utilities company if the problem persists.
